on February 19, 2014Considered it, but didn't try it. I'll give it a shot.

on February 17, 2014Going the other direction, what about cropping the top rocks out? That seems to draw my attention to the rippled reflection of the tree and solid rock and its reflection.

on February 17, 2014Agree with both of you on the top crop being too close!
This is actually a case of laziness. Just above this crop is the bank of the stream, so I have to clean it up a bit to add that space - which would help.

on February 15, 2014I agree - I think these critiques are an important part of the project. I really appreciate the insights into how people have made their images, and the critical comments that I get back. Sure, it is nice to hear people say "nice photo" but that doesn't really help much ;-)
Nice photo - by the way ;-) I agree with rickytims' comment that a little more space above the top rocks would make me feel slightly more satisfied

on February 15, 2014One of the reasons we extended the 52 week challenge to the group was for feedback on the images and sharing of knowledge, so that we can all grow. Comments are encouraged.
The conversations on all the images benefit everyone!

on February 15, 2014Another very engaging photo! And I like to cropping. I wish for a tad more space above the top rocks, just a hint more. I hope it's okay that we make little critiques like that in this group. I never see critiques as 'right vs. wrong', just options.
