on November 3, 2014Very dramatic and interesting Adrian. I like the sepia tones. The band of light behind the buldings add to the drama.
Debbie Sinclair
on November 3, 2014great image for this week's challenge Adrian - perfect co-operation from the clouds!
Kent Schmidt
on November 2, 2014The cloud cover and dark water emphasize the band of light and skyline giving the composition a very horizontal feel. With camera settings and post processing, you made the best of the opportunity you had.

on November 1, 2014I was in the Maritimes last week, helping preparations for next season's Canadian orienteering champs. A busy week and lots of rain limited photography opportunities - but the grey clouds did produce this fairly horizontal image. Hand-held, on a vibrating ferry means it ain't as sharp as we'd like so had to resort to heavy post processing and adding grain to camouflage the blur ;-)
Note for history buffs - this is the site of the largest man-made explosion ever until the atom-bomb. An accidental war-time collision between two ships, one loaded with ammunition, instantly killed 1,600 people and flattened the town for about 1,000 metres in all directions.
