Adrian - I used the self timer on this one - didn't have my remote clicker handy. So I had several seconds to get in place. I tried to stay as still as I could - knowing that whirling the light around I would still move. I also would draw the string closer - or farther - to make sure there wasn't just one ring of lights. I did that by wrapping once around my finger - then after a few spins - twice. The light was also flickering in different colors - not just one.

This is very cool. I really enjoy the overall mood. My mind drifts quickly into technical questions though... I find it a really interesting study in what it takes to "stand out" in a long exposure image. In this your body is quite solid and I suppose the ghostliness comes from you not being perfectly still for 30 second. The lights, which are moving like crazy, are quite bright but still not bright enough for the speed they are moving to be "solid". Fascinating (or at least, I think so ;-) (In my juggling selfie I am stunned that my body is not more solid, but I pressed the shutter then ran into the picture and I guess that two or three seconds, plus maybe bending over to pick up dropped juggling rocks) was all it took to make me a ghost of myself - I was probably "solidly" in the image for 75% of the 30 seconds)

Don, this was 30 seconds. The little information 'i' at the bottom right of our images will show camera details - f-stop, ISO, etc.

I agree with Don - it really does look like a wizard casting a spell. I love the colour changes in the blinds as well as the circular pattern. Very clever.

Love the combination of horizontal lines from the blinds and the circular pattern of the glow stick. The dark hoodie has the right effect. Only suggestion would be to remove the objects from the lower left and right corners.

Good morning last day of challenge! Thanks to my Lady Gaga concert glow stick for the special effect. I stood in front of the wooden blinds and took this shot in my hoodie.
