on September 1, 2014Lovely, with beautifully even lighting. On a nit-picky theme, I'm a little disturbed by the tree on the left of the frame being cut and wonder about including it all or not at all.
I really like the idea of working with the forest floor and like the ferns and the fallen moss covered tree (but I personally get a little irked by the tree stump, but that's not an issue with the image, just with me ;-). I wonder about the height this photo was shot from and what would happen with either a lower perspective or a steeper "down" angle (to take emphasis away from the sky and put it more on the ground). Lovely image - I want to go hike/ride/run there!

on September 1, 2014Captured this while on a short walk. I wanted to do something with the forest floor as it was high noon when we were out(poor time management). I kept thinking of the roots at Shampers Bluff - for those not familiar, here is an example: https://www.flickr.com/photos/riparian/13520607963/
Very little done in post, slight crop and enhanced colors.
