on July 8, 2014Bad Idea (not sure your name) - It was not desaturated at all - it was evening light and the dunes were more white than tan.

on July 7, 2014Stunning Ricky! I was fortunate enough to see this gorgeous place from above couple of weeks ago when I was flying to the west coast. Great shot and I love the lone soul drifting in the sea of endless sand. Bravo!

on July 6, 2014Wow! very effective.
Bad Idea
on July 6, 2014It's a great shot. Was it desaturated in any way?
Bad Idea
on July 6, 2014I wholeheartedly agree with Adrian. Epic and superbly composed with the lone individual sitting on the dune's ridge.

on July 5, 2014Now this is my kind of shot! Love it. Absolutely epic nature shot made all the better with a human out there enjoying his/her environmnet

on July 5, 2014The day after our photography workshop André Gallant wanted me to take him to the Great Sand Dunes National Park which is only slightly more than an hour from where I live. I've not been since becoming more serious about photography. This image could fit with "Solitude" - or "One" - I took many that I loved and if you would like to see them - here's the link -

I would add to this that we were concerned about the park visitors 'messing up our shots' - but the fact was that many of the shots were more powerful with people in them. I mention this in case you are trying to get a shot and there's what might at first appear to be an annoying human obstruction in your way. Sometimes, it makes it better.
