    Kent, I agree with you! Cropping is not an option for the reason you mentioned. I guess I should have made this image years ago before we installed the photo rail!

    I do like this one better. Crop the photo rail? Try it and see. But I lean towards leaving it as is. When I cover the bottom of the image the branches on the left seem like they need an anchor.

    I am in agreement the edited image is a stronger one. Would it make it stronger if I cropped the photo rail out of the image (the horizontal black line) at the bottom of the image? Thanks for you input!

    I was going to suggest the shadow/highlight option and see here you used it. I use it a lot, and in this case it works great. Other images will go flat if too much of this good thing is used. Also, I tend to use Levels more than Brightness/Contrast, to punch things up. But... you did what I would have done and the edited image is stronger to me.

    I used Photoshop's shadow/highlight adjustment and I got closer to what I was going for. Thoughts?
