on June 24, 2014Michael - VERY EFFECTIVE composition and perfect that you choose to make it black and white. In a shot like this it can be easy to lose the main focus, but composing it so that the curve is so obviously different from the straight lines - and the fact that you allowed some vignetting in the corners, pushes me right to the train. Well done.

on June 17, 2014I thought of this shot the second on saw the theme for this week. From my window, the morning city commute is pure chaos involving almost every more of transportation you can imagine. If you look closely you can see everything from pedestrians, to bicyclists, to tractors, to cta trains to amtrak trains all in the same shot. I converted to B&W since the bright sunlight was harsh and it was a bit challenging to balance out the lights and dark shadows to create an even image.
