on November 11, 2014Judith, I find that my eye gets fixated on the bright sky. I recommend that you try using the shadow/highlight function in photoshop, I believe this could emphasis the forest a little so that the view's eye roam throughout the image.

on November 10, 2014This really does look like an old world painting - like it could have been in Gone With the Wind. Very lovely Jude!

on November 7, 2014Jude, I Love sky pictures and you hit the nail on the head with this one. I love turning good pics into painting and having two pieces of art. This one belongs in a frame on the wall of your beautiful home!

on November 6, 2014I agree - I have learned so much from these challenges and been "forced" to think about and practice more photography than I otherwise would have. I really like the "Painting" effect and the luscious colors. A really nice looking spot.

on November 5, 2014Returning home from the airport just outside of Walsenburg. The last glimmers of light lit up the thunder clouds.
When editing, I tried to create an "old world painting" look to my photograph.
I used HDR Fx Pro2 along with ballancing setting. I am always learning from these Challenges.
