on June 24, 2014Excellent! - Great composition - balanced symmetry - good proportion of sky and tracks - and just the right placement for the girders. The dramatic shadows and lighting is effective.

on June 16, 2014I also wanted to do something more landscape like, with the transportation theme. I have seen this old rail bridge many times, and made a point of finally photographing it. Used the ND Grad filter in Lightroom to tame down the sky, with a slight vignetting to focus the eye down the bridge. Played with various crop/angles to straighten things, this seemed the most balanced to me.
